Associated with a midwife - check

As its Christmas, and I have remained close with my midwife from my last birth, I took down a card and some Christmas baking to her this last week. While there, we discussed briefly how my training was due to begin in a few weeks. She has always been supportive of my decision to enter midwifery and was quite excited when I told her over a year ago. Out of the blue last week, while we were there having a quick catch up, she asked me when I needed to join up with a midwife for my training. She then offered to take me under her wing. I am delighted! I had not known how to approach the subject, as I did not want her to feel any pressure to take me on as a student because I know how very busy she is. However there is no one else I would rather train with. She is a lovely, genuine, caring person who took care of me well in my pregnancy and birth. I am wrapt she offered so of course, I jumped at it. Her team of three will share in my training and I am so glad to be affiliated with a midwifery team that I already know and feel completely comfortable working with. Thats one big checklist task done!
